Fidel Yamil Ruiz, of Temple, was arrested for possessing and dealing methamphetamine and fentanyl at his home on 12th Avenue on Friday, Oct. 4, the Berks County District Attorney's Office announced.
He was transported to the Berks County Central Processing Center for arraignment.
This arrest was made as part of Operation Trapped, in which 11 pounds of methamphetamine, eight pounds of fentanyl, multiple loaded firearms, and more were seized from three men last month, as reported by Daily Voice.
Ruiz was charged with:
- Felony Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver (seven counts).
- Misdemeanor Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance by Person Not Registered (two counts).
- Conspiracy Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance by Person Not Registered (two counts).
- Deal in Proceeds of Unlawful Activities with Intent to Promote (two counts).
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18, according to court documents. No bail information was provided.
